Things I miss about growing up…
· Corning swim team. I have some great memories from the 12 summers I spent down at the pool.
· Saturday morning Loony Tunes. We didn’t watch too much TV when we were younger but I do remember enjoying our Saturday morning shows cozied-up on the floor.
· Quad rides in the olive orchard. I always had to try and keep up with the boys.
· Finding pollywogs in the creek during summer – then finding that they turn into frogs shortly thereafter.
· Dress up and performances for family. Typically this involved an invitation, a little MC’ing and a full-on choreographed dance.
· Progress reports. I know weird, but sometimes we need a little reassurance in our lives that we’re “Good” or even just “Satisfactory.”
· My two-story play house which I painted myself.
· Playdates with friends.
· Going to Grandma and Grandpa’s to swim and also to get ice-cream sandwiches.
· The list goes could go on, but for now, these are a few of my fondest J
I think I have memories of almost all of these with you. Great memories, my friend. I'd have to add house-boating to that as well. :)
ReplyDeleteFor sure - the Houseboat deserves it's own post :)
